Parasocial research on creators begins
A wave of studies measuring parasocial relationships with YouTubers, livestreamers and vloggers rather than with television hosts.
The literature caught up with the medium about a decade late, and then discovered that the newer bonds are not the same shape. Livestreamers can see the room. That changes the theory, not just the population.
