The person who answers a canon in the register it was written in, and posts it where the original audience can find it.
The only configuration in which the one-sidedness becomes two-sided without either party noticing that it has stopped being a parasocial bond. Fanfic is the largest sustained creative movement in the history of a medium, and nobody in it is the original audience's intended recipient.
